I have been painting since high school in Baltimore, usually oils, sometimes acrylics.

Early on, I painted images that were simply stripes of color. It seemed that my brain could translate just about anything into stripes. As a result, many of my initial paintings were just that - stripes of color.

The pieces selected for this 50th Reunion Show range from landscape abstractions to identifiable places. The intent is to create a sense of place. Context is obviously important - the back story of each painting is fundamental.
