I have always been drawn to art. Growing up in Turkey, I was influenced by the elegance of Islamic calligraphy and design. Precision and care have been the hallmarks of my work, in graphic design, pastels, watercolors, and fabric. Most of what I have created has been for myself. I approach my pieces as “experiments” which reduce judgement and allow me to freely jump off creative cliffs. I love beauty and strive to create what Leonard Bernstein has described as “that world… which invites you in and lets you breathe its strange, special air.”
